DIY chalkboard tray

The other day I was walking around the dollar tree looking for something and I came across this tray I immediately thought about the chalkboard paint back at home and grabbed it up. I painted the middle part with the chalkboard paint, I did about four coats just to make sure and then I painted primer on the outer part and then painted two coats of blue over the primer.

I know I know this isn't a huge new project and everyone is making stuff like this but it was fun and I loved the way it turned out!   I chose a light color blue that will match our colors of the kitchen at our apartment!

I LOVED how it turned out!! 

So easy to make and SO cheap!
